Over the recent decades, global health efforts have contributed to large reduction in mortality rates in low and middle income countries. While there has been profound achievements in the global health, there is still much more to achieve with the growing globalization. Globalization is changing the way that states must protect and promote health in response to the growing number of health hazards that increasingly cross national boundaries (Lee, Ingram, Lock McInnes, 2007). Beaglehole Bonita (2010) defined that â€Å"global health is collaborative trans-national research and action for promoting health for all.† Regardless of the recent proliferation of actors and global health initiatives, the current approach to governance is unable to resolve the existing global health crisis (Gostin Mok, 2009). According to Global Health Council, there are many different actors in global health like donor governments, national governments, multinational organisations, foundations, civil society, nongovernmental organizations, academic institutions and cooperations. All these function at different levels and play a valuable role in improving the health and livelihoods of all.
